History
Marsworth is recorded before 975 and later in Domesday. Medieval documents mention two manors and a watermill on Nottimore Brook. All Saints' church preserves twelfth- and fourteenth-century fabric. The Grand Union Canal transformed the parish in the 19th century, creating a second focus at Startop's End beside the reservoirs that supplied the canal. Village form still reflects these twin centres: an older church core and the later canal-side settlement.
